How trades stay safe.
Every trade on Perkmint is anchored by four primitives: verified identity, instant vs. mediated delivery, standing bids, and escrow. Here's what each one means.
Verified seller
A Verified seller has completed both email verification and government-ID verification. Their identity is anchored to a real person or business; if they act in bad faith, they can be permanently banned across the platform.
Tiers layer on top of the base badge:
- Verified — email + ID confirmed
- Gold — 50+ successful trades, 4.7+ rating
- Elite — 200+ trades, 4.85+ rating, verified business
Instant delivery
An Instant listing is one where the asset (a code, voucher, or link) is deposited into the vault at listing time. When you pay, it unlocks to you within seconds — no waiting for the seller to respond.
Non-instant listings are mediated: after payment, the seller has a delivery window (usually up to 24h) to hand over the credential inside the chat + vault flow. You still have the full escrow window to confirm.
Standing bids
Perkmint isn't just a browse-and-buy list. You can place a standing bid — a target price you're willing to pay — and we notify you the moment any seller lists at or below that price.
Sellers see incoming bids on assets they list. They can:
- Accept — a listing is created at the buyer's target price, matching them immediately.
- Counter — propose a different price; the buyer gets a notification and can pay or ignore.
- Ignore — the bid stays open in the order book for other sellers.
This means the "first sale in hours" claim is literal: a well-priced bid can match an existing listing in seconds.
Escrow & the vault
When you pay, funds are locked into Perkmint escrow — not sent to the seller. The seller deposits the asset into the vault, and clicking Reveal is what releases both the credential to you and the funds to the seller.
If the buyer never responds, escrow auto-releases 72h after delivery. If either side disputes, our team reviews the vault and chat log.
